Adding Forms to Landing Pages

Insert a form directly into your landing page and customize the display settings

Forms that you created within Lead Gen & CRM can be embedded into a landing page. Either use the Form block under the Elements tab, or insert the form's embed code directly to the landing page code.

Forms and GDPR Requirements

Forms establish tracking. The European Union's new data protection law, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), is meant to protect the data and rights of individuals who are in the European Union and European Economic Area (EU/EEA). One of these protections is consent. In this case, the consent to allow or deny tracking and the gathering of their personal information. You must give visitors the chance to either allow or deny tracking before it happens. Once you have added forms to a landing page, you will need to enable GDPR settings on both the landing page and the form.

Adding Forms

To add a form to a landing page, do the following:
 

  1. Click Landing Pages in the left toolbar.
  2. Create or edit a landing page.
  3. Click  plus.png  Add Content in the Content Editor panel.
  4. Click the Layouts tab.
  5. Select the desired layout.
  6. Click the Elements tab.
  7. Click the Form block.
  8. Click a purple line in the landing page section where the form will go.

Adding Forms via the Embed Code

Lead Gen & CRM allows you to access the code for each landing page. You can add the form's embed code directly to the landing page code. To add the embed code directly to the landing page, do the following:

  1. Obtain the desired form's embed code.
  2. Click Landing Pages in the left toolbar.
  3. Create or edit a landing page.
  4. Click plus.png  Add Content in the Content Editor panel.
  5. Select the Layouts tab.
  6. Select the desired layout.
  7. Click  code.png  Edit Code in the left panel.
  8. Click the Body tab.
  9. Find the following line:
    <div class=”empty inner-col”></div>
  10. Delete the word empty.
  11. Place the cursor between the <div> tags.
  12. Paste the copied form embed code.
  13. Click Save.

Note: When placing the embed code, it will not display in the editor. It will display on the live page, however.



Editing Inserted Forms

Once you have added a form, you are able to edit the form directly in the editor panel. To edit forms in the landing page, do the following:

  1. Single-click on the inserted form element to open up the properties editor panel.
  2. Select the desired Lead Gen & CRM form in the Select a Form menu.
  3. Click Form Editor in the properties editor panel.
  4. Edit form parameters as necessary.
  5. Click Save Changes.
  6. Click Close.


Form Options

Once a form has been inserted, there are options available for design and display settings. To edit form options, do the following:

  1. Single-click on the inserted form element to open up the properties editor panel.
  2. Do either of the following:
    • Click the Override Redirect URL with a Page drop-down menu and choose a page in the funnel to display after the form is filled out.
    • Enter a URL in the Override Redirect URL with a Custom URL text box to display a website not currently listed in the funnel after the form is filled out. This will disable displaying the page in the Override Redirect URL with a Page menu.
  3. Scroll to the Style section
  4. Select the desired toggle: 
    • Form Theme: Takes its theme from the CSS entered in the Form Builder
    •  Landing Page Theme: Takes its theme directly from the form template
