Using Personas with Dynamic Email Content in Classic Email Editor

Personas are fictional representations of your customer audiences. They are designed to produce higher conversions by making messages personal.

This article provides information on using personas to create dynamic emails.

Adding Personas to Dynamic Emails

You can add personas to dynamic emails. To add personas to dynamic emails, do the following:

Note: Adding Personas to emails can only be done in the older email editor. To access the older email editor, open one of your saved emails using the older version of the editor and copy or edit that email. To learn more about the new email editor, read Overview of the New Email Editor.

 

  1. Click Automation > Personas in the left toolbar.

  2. Create a persona.

  3. Click Email in the left toolbar.
  4. Create or edit an email.
  5. Hover over any content block or element within the email editor.
  6. Click  bolt.png  Make Dynamic > Personas

  7. Edit the email content for each persona in the content editor.
  8. Click Done.
  9. Click Save.

Reviewing Personas in the Email Designer

You can review available personas when in the email designer.

To review personas, do the following:

  1. Click Emails in the left toolbar.
  2. Create or edit an email.
  3. Hover over any content block within the email editor.
  4. Click  bolt.png  Make Dynamic > Personas.

  5. Click  bolt.png  Dynamic Web Content in the left panel of the email designer.
  6. Click any of the active personas.

Doing so will open a modal that displays the persona summary, including the following information:

  • Persona name
  • Title
  • Answer
  • Contact and lead membership
  • Biography
  • Demographics
