Creating Rules-Based Lists for Shopping Cart Abandonments

When a prospect puts an item in the cart but does not complete a purchase, you have an opportunity to re-engage them to close the sale.

Lead Gen & CRM helps you reach out to those prospects by putting them on a list so you can send them an email—perhaps with a special offer—to entice them back.  This list will work as long as shopping cart integration has been implemented properly.

This article will detail how to generate lists for cart abandonment.

Creating Abandonment Lists

You can create lists that populate with prospective leads who abandon their shopping carts.

To generate a shopping cart abandonment list, do the following:

  1. Click Lists in the left toolbar.

    Click Lists in the left toolbar

     

  2. Click + Add New List to create a list, or click     Settings >    Change List Settings to edit a rules-based list.

    Click green Create Lists button or Settings icon to edit

     

  3. Configure an initial rule or create an additional rule.

    Create a new rule

     

  4. Click the Site category.
  5. Select abandons a shopping cart.

    Select Abandons Shopping Cart trigger

     

  6. Select the desired site in the Input website drop-down menu.
  7. Click Save.

    Click Save button

     

Note: Shopping Cart is available on Essential, Advanced, and Ultimate plans.
