Unsubscribing and Clearing Contacts from Lists

There may come a time when you need to manually unsubscribe a list of contacts from receiving emails.

Unsubscribing Through Lists

You can manually unsubscribe a list of contacts from receiving emails.

Important: You will no longer be able to send bulk or automated emails to these individuals from the Lead Gen & CRM application while unsubscribed.

To unsubscribe contact lists, do the following:

  1. Click Lists in the left toolbar.

  2. Click the name of the desired list.
  3. Click  cog.png  Options > Unsubscribe Contacts in List.
    • Note: Depending on your browser or native screen resolution, you may need to scroll to the bottom of the  cog.png  Options menu for Unsubscribe Contacts in List to appear.

      Note: The options displayed in this image apply to manual lists. Options vary for rules-based lists. However Clear Unsubscribes from List is available for both manual and rules-based lists.

  4. Type Unsubscribe in the pop-up window that appears.
  5. Click Unsubscribe.

This will also unsubscribe a list's removed and excluded members. There are two ways to confirm you have successfully unsubscribed the lead:

  • You will receive a notification in Lead Gen & CRM stating the following: 
    List unsubscribe successful.
  • All contacts will be removed from the Members tab and moved to the Exclusions tab. A red Unsubscribed tag will be to the immediate left of the contact's email.
    • Note: A list's Exclusions tab counter will display the total number of leads currently excluded from the list

 

Clearing Unsubscribes from Lists

To clear unsubscribes, do the following:

  1. Click Lists in the left toolbar.

  2. Click the name of the desired list.
  3. Click  cog.png  Options > Clear Unsubscribes from this List.
    • Note: Depending on your browser or native screen resolution, you may need to scroll to the bottom of the  cog.png  Options menu for Clear Unsubscribes from this List to appear.

  4. Enter Clear in the text box of the modal window that appears.
  5. Click Clear Contacts.

Clearing Hard Bounces from Lists

To clear hard bounces, do the following:

  1. Click Lists in the left toolbar.

  2. Click the name of the desired list. 
  3. Click  cog.png  Options > Clear Hard Bounces from this List.
    • Note: Depending on your browser or native screen resolution, you may need to scroll to the bottom of the  cog.png  Options menu for Clear Hard Bounces from this List to appear.

  4. Enter Clear in the text box of the modal window that appears.
  5. Click Clear Contacts.
