Clean up unused or unwanted lists and segments by permanently deleting them

If you can't rename a list or segment to reuse it, you can permanently delete it instead. Deleting a contact list or segment permanently deletes contacts that aren't also included in another list or segment.

  1. From the Audience > Lists and segments page, enter the name of the list or segment you want to delete into the Search field.
Tip: If you have a large number of lists and segments, further narrow your search by selecting either Lists or Segments next to the Search field.
  2. Click the three dots next to the list or segment and click the "Delete list" or "Delete segment" option.

  3. Type the exact name of the list or segment you want to delete into the field. The name is case sensitive.
  4. Click the Delete list or Delete segment button to confirm the action.

Once you've deleted a list or segment, don't worry about your past email or SMS reporting. None of your existing reporting information changes, and it will all still be there for you when you need it.
