Adding previously deleted contacts back onto a list

Adding deleted contacts back into your account retains email permission status and contact information, but list and tag assignments need to be reapplied

Contacts can be deleted from your account for all sorts of reasons, but they can be added back at any time through the same methods used to add contacts to your account:

When deleted contacts are added back, they retain their email permission status and any contact information and custom field information stored in their contact record, but any tag and list designations they had when they were deleted aren't recoverable. However, you can make changes to the contact at any time to fill in those details or add new ones:

The strikethrough in your email reporting is also removed, and you can view and edit the contact from within your email reporting again. Unfortunately, historical contact insights and activity can't always be restored, depending on how long it's been since the contact was deleted and then re-added, but they start again after you send them an email.

If an unsubscribed contact later resubscribes through a sign-up form, they become active contacts that you can email again.
