Adding Facebook Tracking Pixels to Landing Pages

The Facebook pixel brings you an analytics tool that helps you understand and measure the effectiveness of your ads and landing pages. Facebook pixel tracking is leveraged to understand the actions people are taking on your landing page so you can go back and see the effectiveness of your marketing campaigns. This article will detail how to add Facebook pixels to landing pages.

Creating a Facebook Pixel

To create a Facebook pixel, navigate to the Facebook Events Manager.

Follow Facebook's documentation on how to set up and install a Meta Pixel.

Adding a Facebook Pixel to a Landing Page

To add a Facebook pixel to a landing page, navigate to the Facebook Events Manager. Select the desired pixel and copy it to your clipboard.

  1. In Lead Gen & CRM, create or edit a landing page. Click  code.png  Edit Code in the left panel.
  2. Click the Head tab.
  3. Paste the pixel code at the bottom of the header.
  4. Replace the & ampersand with %26 in the pixel code.
  5. Remove the <noscript> and </noscript> tags from the pasted code.
    Note: When removing the <noscript> and </noscript> tags, delete the content between the two tags and the tags themselves. Lead Gen & CRM landing pages require Javascript in order to function. As such, the <noscript> and </noscript> tags are not supported by Lead Gen & CRM landing pages.
  6. Click Save and Close.
  7. Click Continue in the Facebook Events Manager browser tab.
  8. Optionally, click the Automatic Advanced Matching toggle.
  9. Click Continue.
  10. Add events as necessary.
  11. Click Done.
