Implementing Google Analytics on Lead Gen & CRM Landing Pages

Not every Lead Gen & CRM user solely uses the site analytics provided by the application. Often, users want Google Analytics implemented on their site along with Lead Gen & CRM tracking code. By default, pages built in the Landing Page Builder and hosted in Lead Gen & CRM do not have Google Analytics tracking.

This article will detail how to implement Google Analytics to landing pages built in Lead Gen & CRM.

Obtaining Google Analytics Tracking Codes

You will need to obtain your tracking code for Google Analytics.

To obtain tracking codes for Google Analytics, do the following:

  1. Open a new tab in your web browser.
  2. Log in to Google Analytics in that browser tab.
  3. Click Admin.
  4. Click Create Account.
  5. Enter relevant account information.
  6. Click Get Tracking ID.
  7. Accept the Terms of Service.
  8. Copy the tracking code in the pop-up window that appears.


 

Alternatively, if you have already created a Google Analytics site, select your account in the Admin page, and click Tracking Code.

Note: You can find a landing page's URL under Funnel Domain in its Page Settings.

 

Account Information

The following is account information that must be entered when creating a Google Analytics account:
 

Information Description

Account
Name

 

 

The title of your account. Used for naming conventions.

Website Name

 

 

The title of your website.

Website URL

 

 

Your main landing page URL. This must include pages.services
unless your CNAME records are set up.

Industry
Category

 

 

The industry your company is most closely affiliated with.

Reporting
Time Zone

 

 

The time zone your company is located in. 

 



Placing Google Analytics Code

Once you have a Google Analytics tracking code, it will need to be placed on landing pages.

To place tracking codes on landing pages, do the following:

  1. Open another new tab in your web browser.
  2. Log in to Lead Gen & CRM in that browser tab.
  3. Click Landing Pages in the left toolbar.   Implementing Google Analytics

     

  4. Create or edit a landing page.
  5. Click  code.png  Edit Code in the left panel.
  6. Change the Page drop-down menu to All Pages.

  7. Click the Head tab.
  8. Paste the Google Analytics tracking code.
  9. Click Save and Close.
  10. Click Publish.
