Disabling Tracked Devices

When you visit a tracked page in Lead Gen & CRM, your DeviceID is recorded and tied to your account.

This article will detail how to disable device tracking.

Disabling Tracking

You can disable tracking for a lead in Lead Gen & CRM. To disable tracking, do the following:

  1. Click Contacts in the left toolbar.
  2. Select the contact with the tracked device that to be disabled.

  3. Click the Memberships tab.
  4. Click Devices.
  5. Click Disable Tracking next to the device to no longer be tracked.

Note: This will not remove previously tracked leads from VisitorID. You will need to delete the lead if you want them removed from VisitorID.



Regarding Permanent Disabling

Lead Gen & CRM does not currently allow for a way to permanently disable a certain domain, browser,  or Internet Protocol (IP) address from tracking within the platform. There are ways to circumvent tracking outside of Lead Gen & CRM and through your browser. To not be tracked, the best available options are to disable cookies in a browser or use a fresh instance of a browser's Private or Incognito mode.
