Changing Task Notification Settings

Article: 000050401
Updated: August 10, 2025

After you create task notifications in Lead Gen & CRM, any past-due tasks will pop-up in the right side of the screen as a notification to complete them. The notification pop-ups can be disabled with a setting change to a user's account.

Manage Past-Due Task Notifications

When a task assignment is past due, assignees will receive a pop-up notification reminding them to complete the task. You can change how task notifications appear. To change pop-up task notifications, do the following:

  1. Click Settings in the left toolbar.
  2. Click User Accounts, located under My Company in the left panel.
  3. Click the desired user’s name.

  4. Click the Do not show me pop-up reminders checkbox in the Notification Options section.
  5. Click Save Changes.

This setting is specific to past-due task notifications. The user will still receive notifications for import or export completion, and other system notifications.

Manage Task Assigned Notifications

You can select whether or not you would like users to receive notifications when they are assigned to a Task. By default, this option is unchecked. To change task assigned notifications, do the following:
  1. Click Settings
  2. Under My Company, click User Accounts
  3. Select the user for whom you want to edit notifications.

  4. Scroll down to Notification Options and check or uncheck the Send me email notifications for newly assigned tasks.

You can enable or disable these notifications for your own account in addition to making these changes for a user.

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page until you see Notification Settings, and check or uncheck the Send me email notifications for newly assigned tasks box.
