Surround an image with text in your email

Wrapping text around an image gives your readers a strong visual cue about the content of your block of text. Having a good text-to-image ratio maximizes the effect—the more text, the better. If the balance doesn't look quite right in your template, try adjusting the amount of text, resizing your image, or experimenting with different layouts.

To wrap text around an image, insert the image inside a Text block in your email:

1. If there isn't already one, add a Text block to your template. Use the guideline to help you place it in the right location.
   
   
    
2. Drag an image from the Images tab, an image placeholder from the Content tab, or an existing image from your template into the Text block. Use the pink box as a guide to position the image within the block, on the right or left side of the text, and drop the image into place. There can only be one image in each Text block.
   Note: If you see a pink guideline next to the Text block instead of a pink box, the image creates a column instead.
   
   
    
3. Use the drag handle to resize the image to adjust how the text wraps around it. Decreasing the image size and adding more text to the block helps make the text wrapping look more obvious.
   
   
    

Note: When your email is viewed on a mobile device, the image and text will stack rather than wrap to accommodate the smaller screen. Be sure to preview your email before sending to see how your content will display on mobile.

Design tip: Want an image with each paragraph in your email? Each paragraph needs to be in its own Text block. To achieve your desired look, add multiple Text blocks and stack them on top of each other, or sit them side-by-side in columns.
