Constant Contact's integration with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT allows you to automatically sync your constituents with Constant Contact, making it easy to engage with your supporters using targeted email, social, and SMS. Use donor insights from Blackbaud to segment your audience and send supporters relevant marketing messages.

Connect your Blackbaud account

If you've been invited to set up Constant Contact's integration with Blackbaud:

1. Sign in to your Blackbaud account using the link provided to you. Then click Start for free to create your Constant Contact account.
   
   
   
   
2. Fill out the fields and then click Get started.
   
   
   
   
3. Select your Blackbaud environment from the dropdown.
4. Click Authorize.
   
   
   
   
5. Click Import constituents.
   
   
   
   
6. Within Constant Contact, click Import contacts.
   
   
   
   
7. Manage which fields you'd like to import. Click the X to remove a field. Click the "Add a new field" dropdown to add a field. Make sure that each Blackbaud field corresponds with the appropriate Constant Contact field. When ready, click Continue.
   
   
   
   
8. Select the BlackBaud list to import into Constant Contact.
9. Select the Constant Contact list to import BlackBaud contacts into.
10. Click Continue.
    
    
    
    
11. Confirm that you have permission to send marketing emails to your Blackbaud contacts.
12. Click Confirm.
    
    
    
    

You'll then be brought to your Blackbaud integration dashboard, where you can see a list of all your imports, along with the status and details of each. When you create a new import, it will initially be listed in an In Process status.

Once the import is complete, the status will update to Success.

Once you've set up your import and your Blackbaud contacts are successfully syncing into Constant Contact, you can target them with customized messaging in various ways.

Create a customized contact segment

When importing from Blackbaud, you have the flexibility to choose which contact list you'd like to sync into a Constant Contact list. But maybe you want to segment these contacts even further in order to send specific, targeted messaging. You can do so by creating a custom segment of contacts.

Create personalized automated communications via email and SMS for your customers based on their actions, including welcome emails, thank you series, requests for review, and more.
