Use the SMS Sign Up email template to share your Sign-up Landing Page with your existing email contacts, and ask them to opt into SMS to start sending them text message campaigns

Exclamation Point IconImportant: If you have contacts with home, work, or mobile numbers already in their contact records, you're not able to send SMS messages to them. They may not even be mobile numbers! Your contacts must first opt in to receive SMS messages from you. Please see Constant Contact's SMS permission policy for more information.

You've spent time growing your email list, and now you want to start using SMS. An SMS-enabled Sign-up Landing Page is a sign-up form that's hosted by Constant Contact. It can be used to capture new contacts, but it can also be used to update your existing contacts with SMS permissions! Once you've created it and enabled it for SMS, you can link it in our specially designed "SMS Sign Up" template, and invite all of the contacts you email to give their permission to receive text messages from you.

  1. Create an email, and in the template picker, search for "SMS."

Choose a template overlay with Search field and SMS Sign Up template

  2. Hover your cursor over the "SMS Sign Up" template and click Select. If you want to take a look at the template first, click Preview.

Choose a template page with Results for 'SMS' search, and SMS Sign Up template with Select and Preview button.

  3. Click the Sign Up for Text Messages button to open the panel on the left.
  4. Click the link icon and select Landing Page.

Email editor with Sign Up for Text Messages button and Customize button menu expanded, Add link button with menu expanded and Landing Page option selected
