View the orders and revenue attributed to your email and SMS marketing activities, including automated messages and abandoned cart automations

If you're using an ecommerce platform or finance tools integrated into your Constant Contact account, tracking the total sales and orders generated from your email and SMS marketing campaigns, including abandoned cart automations, is easy! If an order or invoice is created within 72 hours of a customer opening an email or receiving an SMS message, it's credited to that email campaign, even if the email doesn’t include an ecommerce block.

Revenue calculation

Revenue is calculated using the "last-touch" model, meaning that if an order or invoice is created within 72 hours of a customer opening an email or receiving an SMS message, it's credited to that campaign, even if the email doesn’t include an ecommerce block. The 72-hour window starts:

  • Email - At the time of the open.
  • SMS - At the time of delivery.

If you generate the same number of orders in two types of currency, the revenue for the currency that comes first alphabetically is displayed.
  • Total orders - The total number of orders that resulted from your email and SMS marketing efforts within the selected timeframe, for all currency types.
  • Total impressions - The total number of email opens and SMS message deliveries within the selected timeframe, for all currency types.
  • Conversion rate - The percentage of email opens and SMS message deliveries that resulted in orders within the selected timeframe, for all currency types.
