Understanding Import History

There are several points of information available within the Import History tool. The information available is as follows:

Available Data

   Description

DateThe date the file was imported.
Import TypeWhether the import was for an account or a contact.
Imported ToThe title of the import file and the file type.
Total RowsThe total number of rows in the file.
Rows ProcessedThe number of rows in the file that were processed by the Import tool.
Error CountThe number of errors encountered when the file was imported.
Error LogA .CSV file of all errors recorded during the import process that can be viewed and downloaded.
ArchiveWhether the import was archived or not.

Note: You may only view rows in the Import History that indicate whether an import was archived or not. You may not view the contents of that imported file.

Viewing Imported Accounts

You can view imported accounts on the Import History page. To access and use the Import History, start from the Account Manager or the Contacts page.

  1. Click Account > Account Manager in the left toolbar or Contacts
  2. Click  12more.png  Options > Import History

You may click the title of the import under the Imported To column to go directly to the account.

Downloading Imported Accounts

You can download previously imported accounts. To download previously imported accounts, start from the Account Manager or the Contacts page.

  1. Click Account > Account Manager in the left toolbar or Contacts
  2. Click  12more.png  Options > Import History
  3. Locate the desired imported account.
  4. Click .CSV in the Imported To column to download the file.
Note: The .CSV file will be downloaded to your web browser's default download location.

Viewing Error Logs

You can view error logs associated with previously imported accounts. To view error logs, start from the Account Manager or the Contacts page.

  1. Click Account > Account Manager in the left toolbar or Contacts
  2. Click  12more.png  Options > Import History
  3. Locate the desired imported accounts.
  4. Click View in the Error Log column to download the file.
Note: If there were no errors in your import, there will be no Error Log available.

Archiving Imported Accounts

You may archive accounts from the import history page.

Important: When you archive an import record, you’ll also archive any of the accounts or contacts that were included in that particular import.

If an account was imported in more than one import record, archiving an import file where that overlapping account appears will archive that particular account, however other accounts within the overlapping file will not be affected.

Note: Account records cannot be deleted, only archived. You will be able to Archive all accounts associated with an import from the import history page.

To archive accounts from the account Import History page, start from the Account Manager or the Contacts page.

  1. Click Account > Account Manager in the left toolbar or Contacts
  2. Click  12more.png  Options > Import History
  3. Locate the row with the import record that you would like to archive.
  4. Click the red Archive button.
  5. Confirm your request in the popup that appears.
Important: Account Imports cannot be “unarchived.”  To restore an import, download the file that was originally uploaded and use it to conduct a new import.  Upon importing, choose to “Merge this account with the already existing one and overwrite all fields” which will activate all of the accounts with the data in that file.

Rejected Imports

When a list is rejected, the following will occur:

  • The rejected list event will be viewable in the Import History tool.
  • Rejected lists will appear as "Import List Name - Rejected" under the Imported To column.
  • When hovering over Details under the Error Log column, a tooltip will display the following:

The import for the list has scored in the bottom 2.5% of all lists and was rejected due to quality concerns. Please reach out to Lead Gen & CRM's compliance team or view this support article for more information.

Rejected list events cannot be deleted from the Import History tool.
