Once you sign up for a PayPal account, you can receive and send money using your PayPal balance or another funding option, like a credit card or bank account. It is free to create a PayPal account. However, PayPal does charge modest transaction fees for receiving payments. Typically the fee is 3.49% of the transaction + $0.49 per transaction, but the fees can vary for charitable organizations and international customers.
Please see PayPal's website for more information about transaction and purchase fees.
Verified PayPal accounts can send up to $10,000 in a single transaction. The maximum transaction limit may vary for unverified PayPal members and for PayPal members living outside the U.S., depending on the currency in use.
Please see PayPal's website for more information about account limitations and transaction maximums.
