PayPal is an ecommerce company that lets anyone with an email address securely send and receive payments through online fund transfers. Once you sign up for a PayPal account, you can receive and send money using your PayPal balance or another funding option, like a credit card or bank account. PayPal then sends you a notification via email for every sale.

If you have a PayPal account, there are a few ways you can use it within your Constant Contact account:

Creating and customizing a personal or business PayPal account

There are two types of PayPal accounts that you can set up: Personal or Business. While all PayPal accounts allow you to send and receive payments, each type is suited to different needs.

  • Personal account - A personal account is recommended for individuals who shop and pay online, or wish to send or receive personal payments.
  • Business account - A business account is recommended for merchants who operate under a company or group name. These accounts have additional business tools and features available. When you sign up for a business account, there are several products to choose from that allow you to easily receive payments online. You can also receive in-person payments using the "PayPal Here" card reader and app.

Once you have a PayPal account, you can customize the pages in your checkout flow:

PayPal fees and transaction limits

PayPal fees

It is free to create a PayPal account. However, PayPal does charge modest transaction fees for receiving payments. Typically the fee is 3.49% of the transaction + $0.49 per transaction, but the fees can vary for charitable organizations and international customers.

Please see PayPal's website for more information about transaction and purchase fees.

PayPal transaction limits

Verified PayPal accounts can send up to $10,000 in a single transaction. The maximum transaction limit may vary for unverified PayPal members and for PayPal members living outside the U.S., depending on the currency in use.

Please see PayPal's website for more information about account limitations and transaction maximums.
