A detailed guide to help you understand our pricing and packaging changes and what it means for you and your end-users

Marketing and growing a small business is TOUGH. We get it. That’s why we’ve created three packages to make it easier than ever for small businesses to get the marketing support they need. We deliver expertise and scale across three packages to meet varying levels of sophistication, while making sure everyone has access to the tools to help them grow.

 


New packages

We will be introducing three new plan types for new users to choose from. This will not affect current users on Core & Plus.

  • Lite ($12), Standard ($35), and Premium ($80)
  • If you have a user on Core/Plus that would like to be upgraded, please reach out to Partner Support.
  • Feature realignment between the plans to further differentiate.

Pricing updates

The following pricing tiers will go into effect on April 17th. Please note that we will no longer auto-upgrade based on list size.

Frequently asked questions

What are the major differences between the three packages?

Our three packages are designed to meet our partner’s clients/children where they are at in their marketing journey.

  • The Lite package is perfect for child accounts who are just starting their marketing journey and want to keep their toolset simple. It gives child accounts access to a simple suite of email, social, and event management tools. All while giving our partners access to assist and support if needed while also providing all backed by our team of marketing experts and legendary support.
  • The Standard package expands on the Lite package to help clients/child accounts build deeper relationships with their contacts. It includes access to advanced marketing tools to help make sure their message is on point, and delivered to the right subscriber, in the right channel, at the right time.
  • The Premium package is designed for clients/child accounts who want to expand their reach and sell more with ads, SEO, custom segmentation, more advanced automations, and dynamic emails linked directly to their online store.

 

As a partner, do I get premium?

Your account will have the new AI Content Generator and Automation Path Builder. All other features are already in your account.

 

There’s quite a big price jump between the three packages. Are the additional features that much more valuable?

The additional features, as partners/clients/children move up through our packages really do pack a lot of value. Our automation templates in the Standard package coupled with the Segmentation capabilities really allows clients/child accounts to take their marketing to the next level. With messages sent at just the right time, for just the right reason—they can ensure they are staying in touch with their contacts, without being overbearing. All without having to think about it or manage it themselves on a daily basis. In our Premium package, we include Search Engine Optimization, custom segmentation, and custom automations for them to truly own your marketing program either on their own or with the assistance of our partners.

 

I see that the Lite plan only allows one user, but MFA is required for login so we all need our own. My clients/child accounts have three employees that need access but they only need the Lite features. Do I really have to sell them into the Standard plan just to keep my account secure?

Yes. The price of our Lite package only includes 1 user license. The cost difference between the two packages is designed for us to support multiple users. As a bonus, you also get access to additional features in our Standard package.

 

I had a client start a trial but they saw that pricing and packages have changed since they signed up.

Our packages have changed since they originally signed up to trial our product. All new paid clients/child accounts (with the exception of flat rate or special packages) from here on out will have access to our new packages. The best part is that our new packages include some new exciting features including access to our AI Content Generator and some new advanced automation features.

 

My clients/child accounts received an email that my trial has changed; why is that? What changed?

Our packages have changed since you originally signed up to trial our product. All new paid customers from here on out will have access to our new packages. The best part is that our new packages include some new exciting features including access to our AI Content Generator and some new advanced automation features.

 

Why is Constant Contact launching the new packages so quickly after the last change?

Technology changes fast! Our new packages support our business model to continue innovating and always offering our customers the latest and greatest technology, with choices in how they work with us.

 

How will this affect my partnership that has custom packages/special pricing?

Some partners that offer special pricing to their clients will not be affected at this time. The Partner Team will communicate any changes with partners as we move forward.

 

Last year you said that lowering the cost was beneficial to filling the funnel, but now you are raising the cost, why?

Our starting price needed to increase to ensure we could continue to build and maintain a quality product.

 

Do these changes affect New Account Bonuses and Revenue Share?

The New Account Bonuses will be as follows:

  • Lite: $75
  • Standard: $125
  • Premium: $200

Revenue share will remain at 18% unless otherwise specified in a partnership agreement. Beginning June 1, 2025, revenue share for new partnerships will be capped at two years. The 95-day post-conversion requirement continues to apply.

 

How do I position a starting price of $35 to a potential client that I had already quoted $9.99 to? (Same for plus to premium)

Core to Standard

While our new Standard package is more expensive than our old Core package, it includes some incredible new technology. Your client/child account will have access to our new AI Content Generator, which will help you/them write marketing messages in no time. Your client/child account will also have access to our more advanced automation templates, which make it easy to send the right message at the right time—through both email and SMS.

Plus to Premium

Our new Premium package introduces some incredible new technology. You’ll have access to our new AI Content Generator, which will help you write marketing messages in no time. In addition, it’s really set up to help your client/child account expand their reach with the inclusion of Search Engine Optimization. Your client/child account will also have full access to customize their own automation paths and create custom segmentation. There's a ton of value packed into this package!

 

Can we upgrade just the automation? I have a current client who wants the new functionality at the plus rate.

No. Our packages are not able to be broken out. Our Automation templates in the Standard package do offer significant functionality though. But if a client would like to create fully custom automation paths, they will need to purchase our Premium package. How can I justify $80 for what was basically $45 minus some new automation to my client. Our new Premium package contains some exciting, new, value-added features. It includes our Search Engine Optimization offering which previously was only available as an add-on. It also includes our custom automation paths and our eCommerce custom segmentation. We believe there is a significant amount of value in the Premium package.

 

I have a client in trial that will be ready to convert after this change. What happens to them? Will they be in core/plus or the new packages?

If those customers choose to convert after the launch of our new packages, they will need to select from the new packages - not Core or Plus.

 

If I move my client/child account to these new packages, what happens with their current Automation Autoresponders today? Do I have to rebuild these?

If you or your client/child move to one of our new packages today, they will still have access to their existing autoresponders. You/they will be able to see, edit, and use them. You/they will not be able to copy them or build a new one. If you/they wish to build a new one, they will need to use our new Automation Path Builder.

 

I do not see SEO as an add-on any longer, did you remove this feature?

SEO is no longer an add-on, as it is included directly in our Premium package.

 

If I move my client/child from an old plan (Email, Email Plus, Core, Plus) to a new plan, what are the ramifications (features, functions, any other) that I need to be aware of?

Once they are moved from one of the older packages to our new packages, they will not be able to go back. The feature mix is different in the new packages.

 

I don’t want my client/child to upgrade, will I be forced to at some point?

We are not currently forcing customers to move to our new packages.
