Typically your email leaves Constant Contact and reaches your contacts within a few minutes to a few hours, depending on the size of your contact list and your contact's internet service provider (ISP):
List size | Average send times | Maximum send times |
---|---|---|
Less than 50,000 contacts | 12 - 15 minutes | 30 minutes |
50,000 - 200,000 contacts | 20 - 27 minutes | 60 minutes |
200,000 - 500,000 contacts | 28 - 46 minutes | 2 hours |
500,000 - 1 million contacts | 45 - 93 minutes | 4 hours |
1 million - 8 million contacts | 110 - 290 minutes | 6 hours |
Any known issue that prevents an application from meeting our service levels, will be posted on our Service Performance Status Page with a more detailed description. If your email is stuck in scheduled or running status, it's been longer than the maximum send timeframe for your list size, and there are no reported outages on the Service Performance Page, please contact Support.
Sometimes delivery issues can be caused because your contact's ISP may be filtering or blocking your content. If your email is in sent status but not all of your contacts have received it, there is a good chance it's ISP-related.
