To drive success for small business, City of Moreton Bay (based in Queensland, Australia) is providing eligible businesses with access to essential finance and marketing tools. Eligible small businesses can gain access to both Xero and Constant Contact FREE for 6 months (conditions apply). The offer is available to the first 1,000 City of Moreton Bay businesses and you must activate your accounts by 30th June 2026.

Who can apply

To avoid disappointment, please check your eligibility on our program page before applying for this program provided by City of Moreton Bay. To be successful, you must:

  • Be a registered business in City of Moreton Bay (in Queensland, Australia)
  • Have an active Australian Business Number (ABN).
  • Be a new Xero customer.
  • Be a new Constant Contact customer.
  • Agree to sign-up for, and activate, the Xero and Constant Contact subscriptions.

How do I know if I qualify for this program?

To qualify for the Business Boost Tech Essentials Program, you must:

  • Be a registered business in City of Moreton Bay.
  • Have an active Australian Business Number (ABN).
  • Be a new Xero customer.
  • Be a new Constant Contact customer.
  • Agree to sign-up for, and activate, the Xero and Constant Contact subscriptions.

 

Does the address associated with my ABN have to be in City of Moreton Bay?

No. However, your main business operations do need to be in City of Moreton Bay.

Even if you don’t qualify for the program, you can get started with a free 30-day trial of Constant Contact’s digital marketing tools to grow your audience, connect with customers, and boost your engagement.

Why do I need to provide a credit card when I sign-up for Constant Contact and Xero?

Adding a credit card now helps validate your account with us. Rest assured, you won’t be charged anything until the end of the free plan period - unless you cancel before your account rolls into a paid plan.

You can cancel at any time during the 6-month free program. If you choose not to cancel, the credit card you provided will be used to continue your subscriptions.

 

What credit cards are supported?

Constant Contact and Xero accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Your details are entered securely at checkout, and your subscription will start automatically after your 6-month access period unless you choose to cancel beforehand.

 

Can I cancel my subscriptions during the 6-month free program?

Yes, you can cancel at any time during the 6-month free program. You won’t be charged as long as you follow the cancellation terms of Xero and Constant Contact.

When you cancel your account with Constant Contact:

  • You'll lose access to all your contacts, campaigns, and reporting data
  • Any list-growth tools you currently use will still allow sign-ups, but the contacts will not be captured in your account
  • Integrations will no longer be connected
  • Images and documents hosted in your account will be taken offline and won't be accessible

 

When you cancel your account with Xero:

 

What happens after the 6 months of free access?

After six months, your subscriptions for both Constant Contact and Xero will automatically renew on a monthly basis. You will be billed separately by each company and renewal reminders will be sent prior to the end of the six-month free period.

If you don’t want to continue with your Constant Contact plan, just make sure to cancel with 31 days notice as per the terms of service. You can do this easily by calling 1800 290 803, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm AEST.

To avoid being charged for your Xero service, cancel with 30 days notice before the free period ends as per the terms of service. To cancel your Xero account, you must log into your Xero account and navigate to the "Subscription and billing" section.

Can I choose to use only Xero or only Constant Contact for free?

The program is designed to give you access to both Xero and Constant Contact together, so they’re not available as standalone options as part of the City of Moreton Bay Business Boost Tech Essentials Program.

 

Who will help me set up my new tools?

During your onboarding sessions from Constant Contact and Xero, we’ll guide you step by step so you feel confident to make the most of the program.

You’ll also have ongoing support from Constant Contact’s Brisbane-based team, available Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm AEST via phone (1800 290 803) or live chat. Plus, you can tap into expert marketers anytime through the ANZ Community Hub for tips, resources, and advice.

 

Is support free for Constant Contact?

Yes, support is free and our Brisbane team is here to help via phone (1800 290 803) or live chat, Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm AEST. Just log into your account, click the question mark icon in the upper right corner, then scroll down and choose ‘Contact Us’ to reach out. Be sure to explore our Help Centre for additional assistance.

 

Can I upgrade to another plan or purchase add-ons for Constant Contact?

Sorry, upgrades or add-ons cannot be purchased during the free six-month period. Add ons will become available once your subscription transitions to a paid plan.

 

How much notice do I need to give to cancel my subscription before moving to a paid subscription?

To cancel, please contact our team (1800 290 803) at least 31 days notice prior to the first billing date to avoid charges. After cancelling, we'll send an email within 24 hours to your account email address confirming your request.

 

Can I offer this program to my clients or customers?

This program is designed for individual business owners and isn’t intended for resale or redistribution. However, we encourage you to share it with your network or refer clients who may benefit from signing up.

I already use another accounting tool (eg. MYOB, QuickBooks), how can I migrate?

When you sign up for Xero, you can use the free conversion tool to upload your QuickBooks data, allowing you to access both current and prior year transactions.

If you’d like additional help, you can also connect with Xero conversion partners to ensure your data is transferred accurately and set up to suit your needs.
