Social Posts that fail to publish

View Social Posts with errors and troubleshoot why they failed to publish on social media

Having trouble getting a post to publish on your social media network? Here are the most common reasons your social posts can fail and what you can do about it.

View Social Posts with errors

If you only want to see the Social Posts with errors, you can filter them out:

  1. Click Marketing channel > Social posts.

  2. From the Posts tab. Select "Error" from the drop-down menu.
  3. Click on the name of the post to view more details about the error.

Temporarily blocked for policies violations

The "temporarily blocked for policies violations" error message means that Facebook has found something in the content (text, image, URL, etc.) of your post that violated its community standards. If you're sharing content that has been previously shared on Facebook and has been reported as a violation, Facebook won't allow it to be shared again.

Facebook doesn't share the specific reason for rejecting a post, but if you're seeing this error message, there are a couple of things you can try:

  • Wait a little bit before clicking the Retry button and see if the post gets published.
  • Copy the post and re-write the text, change the image, or replace the URL that you previously tried to share and publish the new post.
  • Re-create the post directly in Facebook, and try to post it.

For more information about Facebook's community standards and policies violations, please see Facebook's support.
