Deactivate a landing page

Article: 000039187
Updated: January 23, 2025

Prevent landing page visitors from accessing the content of a Sign-up or Custom Landing Page

When your landing page has served its purpose, or if you need to prevent your audience from viewing the content on your page while you make edits, you can deactivate it at any time.

  1. Click Audience Growth > Landing pages.

Audience Growth drop-down, and Landing Pages option

  2. (Optional) Use the Status filter to narrow your search.
  3. Next to your active landing page, click . . . > Deactivate.

Campaigns tab, Active Landing Page, More drop-down, and Deactivate option

  4. Click Deactivate to confirm the action.

Landing Page Details Page, Deactivate Landing Page Overlay, and Deactivate Button

Deactivating removes the content of your landing page from view, but it doesn't prevent anyone from sharing the URL or automatically remove the URL from the places you've already shared it, like in social media posts, emails, or Facebook Ads. Visits to your URL aren't tracked in your reporting while your page is deactivated.

Once deactivated, you can update the content of your Sign-up Landing Page or Custom Landing Page and reactivate it, or you can just create a new landing page.
