Use Kiosk Mode in the Constant Contact mobile application for iOS (iPhones and iPad)

Gone are the days of leaving a piece of paper and a pen on a clipboard next to your register! The Constant Contact mobile app lets you collect names and email addresses through your iPhone or iPad device and add them to the list of your choosing in your Constant Contact account.

You don't even need to have an internet connection. In Kiosk Mode, the app collects contact information and stores it, and once you have internet access again, it syncs with your Constant Contact account to add the new contacts.

How Kiosk Mode works

When you want to use your iPhone or iPad as a kiosk for collecting contact information, you’ll first need to enable Sign-Up Mode or Kiosk Mode on a list. After enabling Kiosk Mode on a Constant Contact list, the contact form will be displayed, and no other parts of the Constant Contact app can be accessed. You won’t be able to leave the form to, for example, return to Lists or go to Emails. This prevents contacts from browsing around in the Constant Contact app while they are using your device.

To turn Kiosk Mode off and access other parts of the Constant Contact application again, you’ll need to enter an Exit PIN.

There’s also a Kiosk Mode device setting you can enable to lock the entire device to a single application, rather than just locking the Constant Contact app. We recommend that you enable Kiosk Mode on a Constant Contact list and then enable Kiosk Mode on your device so the entire device is locked to your contact form. Enabling Kiosk Mode in the app

Download the Constant Contact mobile application and then create a new list or access an existing list to start: 

1. In the app, tap the Contacts tab.
2. Tap a list.
   
    
   
   
3. Tap the Settings button in the top right corner. 
   
    
   
   
4. Select Sign-up Mode. 
   
    
   
   
5. Select the amount of information to request from contacts, and then tap Next. 
   
   Quick - When Quick is selected, your contacts will be presented with only the email address field, and it takes around 30 seconds for them to fill it out. Choose this when you're at a busy event and don’t want to slow your contacts down.
   
   Standard - When Standard is selected, your contacts will be presented with the email address field, name field, and the phone number field. This selection takes around 1 minute for your contacts to fill out. 
   
   Full - When Full is selected, all of your list fields, including custom fields, will be presented to contacts. This selection takes around 2 minutes for your contacts to fill out. 
   
    
   
   
6. Personalize your Kiosk Mode form. Tap the logo icon to add a logo image from your phone, camera, or Constant Contact media library. 
7. Optionally, fill out a brief description of the form. This will be positioned underneath the logo and displayed to the contact. 
8. Choose an Accent Color. This is the color that appears at the very top of your contact form behind your logo. 
9. Tap Next.
   
    
   
   
10. Set an Exit PIN. Enter a 4-digit number.
11. Enter the 4-digit PIN again to confirm it.
12. Tap Start Kiosk Mode.
    
     

To leave Kiosk Mode, tap the X icon in the top right corner of the screen and enter your Exit PIN. 

Collecting sign-ups

With Kiosk Mode enabled and the contact form displayed, you can share your device with potential contacts to encourage them to sign up. 

1. Contacts can fill out the form and tap Submit.
   
   Note: If needed, contacts can tap Clear Form to remove all data from the form fields and start over.
   
    
   
   
2. After a contact taps Submit, the form is clear and ready for the next contact.
   
    

Note: In Kiosk Mode, even without an internet connection, the app still collects and stores contact information. Once you have internet access again, it syncs with your Constant Contact account to add the new contacts.

Important: Put your device into "kiosk mode" to prevent people from accessing or using other applications on your phone or tablet. If you don't want your device to power down when it becomes inactive, update its "sleep mode" settings, too.
