As a recipient, how do I unsubscribe?

Learn how to remove yourself from a Constant Contact customer's mailing list

Your inbox, your rules

There is an unsubscribe option in all messages sent from Constant Contact customers. Additionally we have implemented the “one click unsubscribe header” required by the major mailbox providers such as Gmail and Yahoo! to facilitate easier unsubscribes in their interface.

If you have unsubscribed from a Constant Contact customer’s list but are still receiving communications from them, our support team is here to help. We take reports of unsubscribe abuse very seriously. Please contact abuse@constantcontact.com with details or contact support. If you would prefer to go one step further and block all mail from Constant Contact customers to your email address, please see the steps below.

How to unsubscribe from a Constant Contact email list

To unsubscribe your email address, click the "Unsubscribe" link in the footer of the email:

Things to keep in mind

All emails sent through Constant Contact include an unsubscribe link in the email footer. As in the above image, the link is specific to the email address that is listed. If you received the email by any other means (i.e. a filter that forwarded it to you from another inbox or a friend forwarding you their email) the unsubscribe link does not update and remains specific to the original recipient.

Additionally, many mailbox providers such as Gmail and Yahoo will include an unsubscribe link in their interface for trusted senders. This is usually at the top of the message and easy to find and will also work to unsubscribe yourself from a senders list.

Need a solution that opts you out of ALL communications sent by Constant Contact customers?

Constant Contact will not send any communications to email addresses that have been added to our block list. Email addresses on this list will not receive mail from any Constant Contact customers. Email addresses may be on this list if:

  • They've repeatedly bounced as non-existent.
  • A Customer Service Representative placed the address on the list at the contact's request.

If you would like your email address placed on this list, please contact our Support team or send an email request to abuse@constantcontact.com.
