Export tagged contacts into a spreadsheet

Article: 000037434
Updated: November 4, 2025

Choose contacts with specific tags and create a back-up file by exporting them into a downloadable CSV file or Excel spreadsheet

The tags you add to your contacts are important pieces of information that help you make sense of your contacts and the types of content you create for them. Exporting your contacts doesn't remove them from your account, but gives you a hard copy of their information that you can open in Excel.

  1. From the Contacts page, click the button with the three dots in the upper right-hand corner, and select the "Manage tags" option from the drop-down menu.

  2. In the All tags table, click on the name of the tag you want to export.

  3. Select the "Contact" box, and if you have multiple pages of contacts, click the "Select all [number] contacts" option.

  4. Click Actions > Export selected.

  5. Selec the contact information you want to include in your file and click the Export button.
Note: If you're exporting multiple tags to combine into a single spreadsheet, make sure to select the "Tags" option so you can tell which contacts are associated with which tag in the final sheet.

Repeat the steps for each tag you want to export. When your export is complete, you can find your CSV or Excel file and download it by viewing your import/export activity. CSV files can be opened with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets. Your results can be combined into a single spreadsheet as needed.
