Add a video to an email in the Constant Contact mobile app

Insert a video into your email from your Vimeo library or using a URL

If you host videos on Vimeo, you can easily connect your account to Constant Contact from the desktop site and then insert a video directly from your Vimeo library into an email. You can also add a video to your email using a link from YouTube, Wistia, or other media platforms. 

Note: Your video will not play within your email; only the thumbnail will show. To watch the video, your contacts must tap the thumbnail, which will open the video on YouTube or Vimeo.

Insert a video on Android

While editing your email, tap on a block. Your video will be inserted directly underneath where you have tapped:
 

1. Tap    at the bottom of your screen.
   
   
   
   
2. Tap the Video block.
   
   Note: The video block will be inserted into your email, right below whatever block you have selected. If you have not tapped on any block, the video will be inserted at the very bottom of your email. Use the up and down arrows to move your video up and down in your email. 
   
   
    
3. Tap Edit.
   
   
    
4. Tap Edit again.
   
   
    
5. Tap the Select your source drop-down and choose:

• URL - To use a video link.
• Vimeo - To use one of your videos hosted on Vimeo. This works only if your Vimeo account is connected.  Otherwise, you can enter a Vimeo video link using the URL selection.
  
  
   

6. If you chose:

• URL - Paste the video’s URL in the field and then tap the Enter (or next arrow) on your keyboard.
  
  
   
• Vimeo - Tap the thumbnail of the video you'd like to use.
  
  
   

7. (Optional) Tap Change thumbnail image to choose a new image:

• Images from video - Use a preset thumbnail from the video.
• Constant Contact library - Select an image from your Constant Contact library.
• Take a photo - Use your device’s camera to take a picture. 
• Choose a photo - Select an image you have stored on your device.
  
  
   

8. (Optional) For a Vimeo video, tap Change video to choose a different video from your Vimeo account.
9. Tap Done in the upper-right corner when you're finished.
   
   
    
10. Tap the ✔ checkmark to confirm.
    
    

Insert video on iPhone

While editing your email, tap on a block. Your video will be inserted directly underneath where you have tapped:
 

1. Tap     at the bottom of your screen.
   
   
   
   
2. Tap the Video block.
   
   
   
   
3. Tap Edit. 
   
   
   
   
4. Tap Edit once again. 
   
   
   
   
5. Tap Select your source. 
   
   
   
   
6. Choose from URL or Vimeo:
    
   
   • URL - To use a video link.
   • Vimeo - To use one of your videos hosted on Vimeo. This works if your Vimeo account has been connected.  Otherwise, you can enter a Vimeo video link using the URL selection.
     
     
     
     
7. Enter your video to generate a thumbnail. 
   
   
   
   
8. (Optionally) Tap Change thumbnail image to choose a new image. This will not change your video link.
   
   
   
   
9. Choose a new image: 
   • Images from video - Use a preset thumbnail from the video.
   • Constant Contact library - Select an image from your Constant Contact library.
   • Take a photo - Use your device’s camera to take a picture. 
   • Choose a photo - Select an image you have stored on your device.
     
     
     
     
10. Tap Done. 
    
    
    
    
11. Adjust the width or alignment of your video block. 
12. Tap Done once again when you're finished modifying your video block.
