Adjust the position of an image to the right, left, or center of a block

Small tweaks to the alignment of an image can add balance to the overall look of your email. The smaller the image, the more apparent the alignment appears, especially in a dual-column layout.

  1. Insert an image into your email.
Note: A placeholder image block can't be aligned until it's replaced with an image from your Library.

  2. Click on the image to open the toolbar and then click the alignment drop-down menu to choose left, center, or right align. If your image is inside a text block, you can only choose left or right align.

If you're not seeing much difference in an image that sits in a column, try making the image smaller or resizing the column to make it wider.

design tipDesign tip: An alternative to changing the alignment is to wrap text around the image. You can choose for the image to sit in the upper-right or upper-left corner of a block of text. Spacers can also be a handy tool to adjust the placement of images in your template - place a spacer above or below the image and adjust the width to move the image up and down.
