Google says: creating/updating a local post is not authorized for this location

What does this mean?

This error occurs when Google Business Profile doesn't allow you to post through its API. According to its guidelines, any business or brand with equal to or more than 10 locations is not eligible for posting.

What can I do?

Please ensure that you have less than 10 locations for each business/brand.

Twitter says: user is over the daily status update limit

What does this mean?

On 22 October 2018 Twitter rolled out an API limit which caused posts to show this error.

Ready Social has resolved the issue with Twitter. You can now share or schedule your Twitter posts as usual.

What can I do?

Please reschedule all your posts from the 'Unschedule' and 'Error' tab in the 'Manage Posts' section.

Twitter says: Your account is suspended and is not permitted to access this feature

What does this mean?

This error message suggests that you have violated the Twitter rules. Most likely, Twitter has suspended your handler and isn't accepting tweets published using automation tools.

What can I do?

Just log into Twitter and reconnect your Twitter Account following this path:

Accounts =>  Manage Account => Reconnect button (for that specific account)

Facebook says: (#200) Insufficient permission to post to the target on behalf of the viewer

What does this mean?

This error either means you do not have permission to post on that page now or you haven't permitted us to post on your page during the authentication process.

What can I do?

Just log into your Facebook account => Go to Setting => Click on Apps => Search for Ready Social and remove this app.

Then, connect your Facebook Page with Ready Social. It will again start the authentication process.

Ensure that you accept all permissions during the authentication process to prevent this error in the future.

Facebook says: (#200) Insufficient permission to post to group

What does this mean?

As per the new Facebook API, posting on Facebook Group requires you to authorize each Group with Ready Social. If you haven't authorized the Group, Ready Social will show this error.

What can I do?

Follow the steps to authorize your Group with Ready Social. After completing the process, please re-share your post from the 'Error' tab. This time, it'll be shared/scheduled successfully.

The token used in the request has expired

What does this mean?

This error means that the particular social media account has been disconnected from Ready Social and your access token has expired.

This can happen when you change the password for an account. Additionally, social media sites like Facebook permit Ready Social to share content on your account for only 60 days. Beyond that, you are required to reconnect your account to avoid this error.

What can I do?

Go to Accounts =>  Manage Account => Reconnect button (for that specific account). You'll be asked to reconfirm the password.

Invalid device token - Instagram

What does this mean?

This typically occurs when you log in to the Ready Social mobile app from a different device.

What can I do?

You should log in to the app with only one device—the one you use to access your Instagram account.

Facebook says: (#32) Page request limited reached error

What does this mean?

This error means you have reached the daily share limit set by Facebook. Facebook has a complex system in place to enforce its limit. They use 'page engagement' and 'number of posts shared per day' to calculate this limit. Once this limit is reached, they reject your posts. This error aims to help social media sites prevent spam.

What can I do?

You can share this post after 24 hours. To avoid this error, you need to reduce the number of times you post on a Facebook Page per day.

Image file size must be <= 3145728 bytes

What does this mean?

The image you have been trying to upload is larger.

What can I do?

Just schedule the image post as it is. Ready Social will resize the image internally to get it published without any glitches.

LinkedIn says: throttle limit for calls to this resource is reached

What does this mean?

This error means that LinkedIn cannot publish your post as you have reached the daily share limit set by LinkedIn. This limit helps LinkedIn prevent spam and mass sharing.

What can I do?

You can share this post after 24 hours. To avoid this error, you need to reduce the number of times you post on LinkedIn per day.

Common issues with Business Manager on Facebook

You may face challenges if you are added as an admin via Business Manager to a page created through Facebook's Business Manager.

Issues like:

  • Facebook says: (#200) You do not have permission to create an unpublished post

To overcome this issue, you would have to reassign your role from the regular page.

To do this, follow the steps below to remove yourself as an admin from the Business Manager. Click here to go to Business Settings.

Once the user is removed, you need to add the user as an admin on your selected Facebook Page (ensuring that you are not within the Business Manager Framework).

If the version of Facebook is new, the owner of the account needs to perform the following action:

From the News Feed, click Pages in the left menu.

1. Go to the Facebook Page and click  Page Settings on the bottom left (DO NOT USE BUSINESS MANAGER).

2. Click Page Roles in the left column.

3. Type a name in the box and select the person from the list that appears.

4. Click "Admin"  to select a role from the dropdown menu.

5. Click Add and enter your password to confirm.

Please note, if the "Admin" does not appear, select "Editor", this can be changed later.

For the classic version, follow the steps below:

1. Click Settings at the top of your Page (DO NOT USE BUSINESS MANAGER).

2. Click Page Roles in the left column.

3. Type a name in the box and select the person from the list that appears.

4. Click "Admin"  to select a role from the dropdown menu.

5. Click Add and enter the password to confirm.

Please note, if the "Admin" does not appear, select "Editor", this can be changed later.

Keep in mind that if the account owner is not friends with the person being added, you'll have to accept invites before you can start helping manage the Page.

Please ensure that the BUSINESS MANAGER is NOT used to make you an admin for the page that you want to manage.

You've exceeded the limit of directly publishing 50 posts to an Instagram Business account in 24 hours.

It generates this error if you have shared up to 50 posts in 24 hours. According to the API limitations, you cannot share more than 50 posts for any Instagram page in a day. Learn More.

Common errors with Bluesky publishing

Bluesky says, "Unconfirmed email. Please verify your email to post videos.”

This error occurs when a user has not confirmed an email with Bluesky. A user must verify their email address with Bluesky to enable video posting.

Bluesky says, "The uploaded media already exists. Please try again with a different media.”

This error occurs when a user attempts to upload a video that has already been uploaded.

Bluesky says, "You have reached the API limit on this account. Wait for a while till the limit resets.”

When a user has exhausted their posting limit.

Bluesky says, "Authentication failed. Please reconnect account.”

This occurs when an account needs to be reconnected.
