Introduction

Shortened URLs make posts look cleaner, more professional, and easier to read. They also help track clicks and engagement, providing valuable insights into audience behavior. Using a URL shortener ensures links fit within character limits, especially on platforms like Twitter.

You can use Bitly to shorten URLs with Ready Social.

How to Connect Bitly to Ready Social

  1. Log in to the Ready Social panel.
  2. Select Setup > URL Shortening.
  3. You'll see the Connect URL Shortener page.
  4. Click Connect for Bitly.

  5. It will direct you to the Bitly login screen. Log in with your Bitly credentials.
  6. As the Bitly authentication page appears, click "Allow" to grant access.

  7. As you allow access, you will be redirected to your Ready Social dashboard, where all your accounts will be displayed.
  8. The domains you created at Bitly will be displayed in the drop-down box. Select the domain you want to use while shortening links.
  9. Select the accounts for which you want to use the Bitly shortening service with your customized domain names and click on the 'Apply' button.

Now, whenever you include a link in the 'Create Post' section and select those accounts, it will use Bitly with your custom domains for the links you share.

First Comment URL

When you need to include a URL in the first comment of a post on Facebook, LinkedIn, or Instagram, you can easily do so by pasting the URL directly into the first comment box. The link will be automatically shortened, provided you have a URL shortener set up.
