How to Connect a Profile or Page

To connect a profile or page, follow these steps:

  1. After logging into your Ready Social account, click on Accounts > Connect Accounts from the sidebar menu.
  2. On this screen, you will see the different profiles, pages, and accounts you can connect to your Ready Social dashboard. Click on the appropriate link corresponding to the account you want to connect. For example, to connect a new LinkedIn profile, click Connect Profile in the LinkedIn menu.

  3. You will go through each platform’s authentication process. Enter your credentials and ensure that you allow all required access.
  4. To connect your business page, select the pages you want to connect from your account. It’s important to accept all the permission prompts. Ready Social requires full access to publish content, retrieve analytics, and manage the Inbox for your pages.
  5. Once you click Connect Account, the connection between the selected accounts and Ready Social will be established successfully. The platform will redirect you to the Manage Accounts page.

  6. You can set up a schedule at the account level.

  7. You can also click on 'Select from Templates' to customize your scheduling timeslots with a single click.

  8. Once you have added all the timings you want for each day, click the blue Save button.

Things to Keep in Mind While Connecting an Account

When connecting accounts on Ready Social, there are several key points to keep in mind.

Connecting Facebook Pages and Instagram Business Profiles

Ready Social allows you to connect Facebook Pages and Instagram Business Profiles only if you have Admin or Editor access to those pages. If your accounts are disabled on the Connect Account page, check your role on that page. You may need to ask the Admin or Owner of the page to assign you the correct role, i.e., Admin or Editor.

  • Inherited Admin Role: It is not possible to connect a Facebook Page if you are listed as a Page Admin through inheritance from a parent page. To check, visit your Facebook Page and click Settings at the top right, followed by Page Roles on the left-hand side. If you are listed under a section labeled Admin (inherited from the parent page), you cannot authorize the connection between the Facebook Page and Ready Social.

Connecting Instagram Business Profiles

Ensure that your Instagram profile is converted into a business profile and linked to a Facebook page where you have Admin or Editor access. This guide explains how to connect your Instagram Business Profile to Ready Social.

Permissions for Facebook Pages or Instagram Business Profiles

When connecting a Facebook page or Instagram business profile, Facebook will ask for certain permissions to publish and manage content on your behalf. You must provide all the necessary permissions for Ready Social to manage your accounts smoothly without interruptions.

Connecting Bluesky Account to Ready Social

Connecting a Bluesky account to Ready Social requires two sets of passwords. Just ensure that you are logged into the Bluesky account you want to connect to when starting the process. When you go to Connect Account and then Bluesky, a link will be given to you within Ready Social, which can help you generate a unique one-time in a few clicks. Refer to the Bluesky help document for a step-by-step guide to the entire process.

Connecting Google Business Profile Locations

When connecting your Google Business Profile locations, Location Groups refers to the groups of locations you created when setting up your Google Business Profile account. Locations that aren't part of any group will appear in the Ungroup location.

If you want to search for and locate any particular profile from a specific location group, select that group and type in a relevant keyword in the given search bar.

You can learn more by going through this Google Help document.

Handling Locked Locations

If you see a lock icon with your locations, hover over the icon to find one of the following messages:

  • Verification Pending: You can connect a Google Business Profile location with Ready Social only after it has been verified. Learn more by reviewing this help document.
  • Local Post API Disabled: This error occurs due to a limitation in the Google Business Profile API, where a business or brand with over 10 locations cannot use the post feature through third-party tools like Ready Social. This also means Ready Social cannot fetch any post data from GBP. Unfortunately, this limitation is imposed by the API itself. Please refer to the Google FAQs section for more information.
