This article lists some common queries you might have while navigating the expansive social media analytics and reporting in Ready Social.
Ready Social allows users to view analytics reports for up to 3 months in the past from the present date. There are two options :
Last 90 days: This refers to the data from the 90 days preceding the current date.
For example, if the current date is 12th June, then the Last 90 days would span from March 13 to June 11.
Last 3 months: This option refers to the entire three months preceding the current month.
If we take the same example of June 12 being the current date, the last three months will span from March 1 to May 31.
Here is how to see the reports for the last 3 months:
This will give you the analytics report for the last three months.
Ready Social enables users to view analytics reports for any custom date range of an individual account, with data available up to 2 years in the past. Here's how to access reports for a specific custom date range:
Add the start and end dates in the given fields or use the custom date range picker to point out the timeline.
Ready Social will fetch the analytics for the custom date you have defined.
📋Notes:
While you can access up to 2 years of historic data, reports can only be generated for one three-month range at a time.
In addition to all the customizations available for reports, Ready Social also allows you to download those reports in PDF format. Follow these steps to download your own PDF report:
Go to the Share button on the top right side of the page and select Download PDF.
You can add custom elements, such as text, images, and titles, to a report using the custom report editor. You can do this in both new reports and existing ones.
You can add these custom elements to new reports, as well as reports for single accounts.
You can add and remove metrics from your reports with the help of the custom report builder.
To add a metric, you can search for its name in the search bar at the top of the menu or click on the dropdown beside the account name at the bottom of the editor and look for the metric.
Click on the top-right corner of the block and select Delete.
Some of the metric blocks and graphs in the analytics reports can be enlarged for better viewing. If you open the report editor, the blocks become active and editable. To change or adjust the size of a block in any way, hover over it to locate the “⅃” anchor in the bottom corner. Click on it and drag it out or in to resize the block to the desired size, then release.
However, certain blocks have some size limitations and cannot be enlarged. Graphs, for example, can't be changed in height, but their width can be increased.
You can add as many pages to your existing report template as needed. Once you open the report you want on the report builder, go to the top of a page to find a dividing line. This line is visible at the start of every page. Locate the three dots at the right end of this line and then click Add Page from the visible options.
The pages in Ready Social’s report appear in the default order, with metrics displayed accordingly. However, you can rearrange the pages according to your needs. To do so, open the report editor and navigate to the right menubar. Next, locate the Pages tab beside the Blocks tab. When you open the Pages tab, go to the list of pages and click and drag any particular page by the anchor (which appears as six dots) on its right. Place it as you want in the spot of your choice. This will reorder the sequence of pages.
The Live Data button appears at the top of the report editor dashboard. When you open your report in the editor, the data you see is dummy data. To view the report with real-time analytics data, click the Live Data button. This redirects you to a new page, which displays a preview of your report with the changes you have made, using real-time data from your accounts.
If you are not able to see actual data in your reports, it is because you are seeing those reports in the report editor. When you make changes to the reports, Ready Social displays dummy data. If you want to see actual data in your reports while editing, click on the Live Data button. Doing this will open a report preview with real-life data.
The metric blocks and graphs in reports often display the percentage change in a particular figure, allowing you to compare the current values with past performance. However, if you don't want to show the comparison of the current data with the past one, you can very easily hide it from sight. Here is how you can do it.
Go to the Settings icon (in the shape of a gear) beside the Share button.
Go to the Toggle button saying “Show report comparison on blocks” and switch it off.
If you want to share a particular report with a person, you can do so by generating a link.
When you add a valid email address, two options will appear: Copy link and Resend link.
If someone has not received the report link, you can click the Resend icon to send it to them again.
8. To remove an email address from the list, hover over that ID, and click the delete icon.
Meta calculates analytics data differently as it has access to first-hand information. Ready Social, on the other hand, fetches authentic data from Meta using the APIs it provides. Differences in how each platform calculates metrics, uses attribution windows, and syncs data can lead to slight variations in the reported numbers.
Reach and Impressions are not the same thing. According to Meta Insights, here is the definition of these terms-
Reach: Total number of unique accounts that have seen the content in question.
Impressions: Total number of times the content has appeared on screen, including the repeating views.
Some of the metrics in Ready Social’s Facebook are no longer available as Meta itself has stopped providing data for them. Meta has deprecated these metrics due to the data becoming unreliable and difficult to maintain.
