How Does the Publishing Work for RSS?

The RSS Feed feature allows you to automate the scheduling and sharing of your feed content across your social media accounts. However, it’s important to note that adding an RSS feed does not result in immediate content publication. Instead, the automated feed function works according to the frequency and time slots you set up for your selected accounts.

Here is how automated RSS Feeds works:

1. Feed Scheduling Based on Frequency: After adding an RSS feed, Ready Social checks the feed at the intervals you have specified. For example, if you set the frequency to 5 posts every 6 hours, Ready Social will check the feed URL for new content every 6 hours.
2. Post Scheduling According to Time Slots: When Ready Social detects new content, it will schedule posts based on the time slots you have defined for the selected accounts. If 5 new posts are available, Ready Social will schedule all 5. However, if only 3 new posts are available, it will schedule those 3 posts according to your pre-defined time slots.
3. Handling Time Slot Availability: The posts will be queued according to the time slots you have defined for each account. If you have more posts than available time slots, the additional posts will be published later, depending on slot availability. Conversely, if you have fewer posts than available time slots, the posts will be scheduled as soon as they become available.

Example Scenario: If you have set Ready Social to schedule 5 posts every 6 hours, and it finds 3 new posts in your RSS feed, it will schedule those 3 posts for publishing according to your time slots. Any additional posts will be queued and scheduled when the next available time slots open up.

This flexible scheduling system ensures that your social media content is consistently published according to your strategic timing, maximizing engagement while keeping your feeds active.
