Article: 000050673
Updated: July 26, 2024

An account in Lead Gen & CRM is just like a folder in a digital filing cabinet, where you can store all of the information related to a contact or an opportunity in one place. Opportunities are prospects, based on your products or services.

Create a new opportunity to track potential deals, and attribute contacts, prospective sales volume, and prospective revenue to those opportunities to help your team determine where to best invest their resources and track the potential value of an account.

In this article, you'll learn how to create, edit, add, or remove opportunities from accounts.

Important: If you do not add the account to the Opportunity from the Opportunity window, your new opportunity will not be assigned to the account. You can go into the Opportunity later, from the Sales > Opportunity section in the left toolbar, to add the Opportunity to the account.
  7. In your new opportunity, add any notes that are relevant to the opportunity.

Note: Notes added to opportunities are not attached to notes within the account. They will remain within the opportunity alone.
  8. Within the Overview tab, fill out the Opportunity fields, including Close Date, Status, Pipeline, Stage, Lead Owner, Total Value, and custom fields.

    Fill out opportunity fields
