Using list tags allows you to create lists with very specific segmentation, while still maintaining your ability to interact with those segments in aggregate. Ultimately, this grants you increased control over communications with your contacts.
Consider as an example an email campaign regarding an event. The event strategy deals with the following locations: Boston, Chicago, and San Diego. Each of the locations has their own dedicated list in the application. Email messaging in regards to venue location, dates, and even travel plans will differ for each list. As such, each requires a unique email.
However, a marketing team may want to send a link to a survey to all event participants, asking general questions about what could be done to improve events moving forward. You can use tags to send the survey email to all of lists that have the event tag at one time.
