Use a Read More block to pull in a short preview of your website or blog content to include in your email

Don't waste time recreating content for your email that's already on your website, blog, or RSS feed. Instead, try using a Read More block! It's a great way to keep your email short and drive contacts to your web presence with a clear call-to-action

When you paste a URL into the Read More block, a preview of the content from the webpage is automatically pulled into your email and you can customize the teaser text and image to entice your contacts to click the "Read more" button. You can also rearrange the content of the Read More block to better fit your template!

To insert and customize a Read More block in your email:

  1. Copy the URL for the webpage you want to link to.

    Browser URL Field

  2. In the email editor, drag the Read More block into your template. The block can be used to create a dual-column layout or span the width of your email.
Note: The "Read more" button takes readers out of your email experience and sends them to your website. If you're not using the Read More block as your main call-to-action, put it below your main call-to-action, or place the block next to it using a column. If you have multiple links, using a Read More block for each one gives a uniform look to your design.

Drag and Drop Read More Block

  3. Click anywhere on the Read More block and click Edit.

    Block Toolbar and Edit Button

  4. Paste the webpage URL from step 1 into the field.
Tip: If you're receiving an error that the link is not valid, try using a URL shortener and pasting the shortened URL instead.
  5. Click Insert.

  6. (Optional) Click on the photo and click Replace to choose a different image to include in your email. If your webpage doesn't have an image, you won't see one in the block.
