Remove a Constant Contact app from Instagram

Revoke permission for creating social posts for Instagram through Constant Contact by removing the Constant Contact website permissions from Instagram

Important: This article covers removing a Constant Contact app from an Instagram account that was directly synced with Constant Contact. If your Instagram account is managed through your Meta business account, follow the steps for removing an app from Facebook instead.

After you disconnect Instagram from your Constant Contact account, it's also a good idea to disconnect Constant Contact from your Instagram account. This ensures that you are prompted to log into Instagram and grant permission before you can use social posts again.

If you want to use Facebook and Instagram Ads and Lead Ads, disconnecting your standalone Instagram account lets you connect to a Facebook account with an Instagram account that's managed through the Meta Business Suite.

1. From the lower left-hand corner of your Instagram account, click More > Settings.
2. From the Settings menu, scroll down to the Your app and media section and click Website permissions.
3. Click Apps and websites.
   
   
   
   
4. From the Active tab, click the Remove button next to the Constant Contact-IG app. If you change your mind, you can always re-connect your standalone Instagram account to your Constant Contact account again later.
   
   
   
   
5. Click "Remove" to confirm the action.
