Constant Contact is here to help make sure your emails land in your contacts' inboxes and meet the new email authentication requirements, regardless of how technical you are. Take a look at the different email authentication options available to you based on what you’re using as your "From" email address:
I send email from my own domain that I control
Sending from your own domain builds brand recognition with your customers, and by authenticating your domain, you’ll also be securing your reputation with receiving mailbox providers. The best option for you will be to set up
self-authentication within Constant Contact and then add the DNS records we generate for you to your hosting provider.
I send from a domain controlled by my organization
If you want to continue to send email from this domain, you’ll need to determine if the domain owner will be able to add the proper DNS records. You should reach out to your IT department or the group who controls your domain’s mail servers and explain that you want to allow Constant Contact to be able to DKIM sign your outbound email. If they’re able to update the DNS records for you, we recommend setting up
self-authentication within Constant Contact.
If you’re not able to have someone add DNS records for your domain, Constant Contact has you covered! We'll be automatically
rewriting your “From” email address with our shared ccsend.com domain to make sure your messages stay in compliance with the new requirements and continue to get delivered to your contacts.
I own my own domain, but am not currently sending email from it
It’s always best to send email from your organization's domain. You should reach out to your IT department or the group who controls your domain’s mail servers and explain that you want to set up email with your organization's domain and also set up Constant Contact to be able to DKIM sign your email. If they’re able to do that for you, we recommend setting up
self-authentication within Constant Contact. You’ll need to work directly with your domain administrator to have them add the DNS records provided to you from Constant Contact.
If you’re not able to set up email with your domain or have someone update the DNS records for you, Constant Contact has you covered! We'll be automatically
rewriting your “From” email address with our shared ccsend.com domain to make sure your messages stay in compliance with the new requirements and continue to get delivered to your contacts.
I send from a free webmail or my local ISP provider
Since you’re sending from a domain that you’re not able to set up authentication for, Constant Contact has you covered! We'll be automatically
rewriting your “From” email address with our shared ccsend.com domain to make sure your messages stay in compliance with the new requirements and continue to get delivered to your contacts.
