Disconnect your social media accounts from Constant Contact

Disconnect a Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or keep the account connect and just remove a Facebook Page, Instagram Business Profile, or LinkedIn Company Page

When you disconnect a social media account or profile, it prevents you from sharing Social Posts to it, but you can still create social post drafts. Disconnecting a Facebook or Instagram account also prevents you from activating Facebook Ads or Lead Ads.

 

Exclamation Point IconImportant: Any reporting data associated with the account of profile is removed, but if you reconnect your account or profile later, you're able to see the data again.

 


Disconnect a social account

Disconnected a social media account removes it and all of the associated profile pages from your Constant Contact account.

  1. Click Marketing channels > Social Post.


     
  2. Click Accounts.
  3. Click on a social platform with the active account you want to disconnect. 


     
  4. Click Disconnect Account

  5. Click Disconnect to confirm the action.

When you're ready to use Social Posts and Monitoring, or Facebook Ads and Lead Ads again, you're be prompted to log back into your Facebook or LinkedIn account to reestablish the connection, or you can link to a different account altogether.

 

Exclamation Point IconImportant: Removing a social account from your Constant Contact account doesn't remove the Constant Contact app from Facebook, or LinkedIn. To fully revoke access, you should also directly log into Facebook and remove the Constant Contact Business Integration, or LinkedIn to remove the permitted Constant Contact service.

 

Disconnect a social profile

Removing a social profile doesn't disconnect the whole account, it just removes the Facebook Page, Instagram Business Profile, or LinkedIn Organization Page that's associated with your account. You can always connect the profile again later, or, if you have multiple profiles associated with one account, choose a new profile to connect.

  1. Click Marketing channels > Social Posts. 



  2. Click the Accounts tab.
  3. Click on the social platform with the active profile you want to disconnect. 

     
  4. Next to the profile you want to remove, click ... > Disconnect.

  5. Click Disconnect to confirm the action.

If you change your mind later, you can click the Add Profile button and select your profile from the menu to reconnect it.
