Track responses to your RSVP from the Email Details page, and follow up with those who didn't respond

If you used an RSVP block in an email you sent, you can find the RSVP responses on the Email Details page. Once you gather the responses, you can plan how you want to communicate with the contacts who responded or didn't respond.

View your responses

To see which contacts responded to your RSVP block:

  1. Click Marketing channels > Email.
  2. (Optional) Use the Status filter to help narrow your search.
  3. Click on the name of your sent email with the RSVP block.

  4. Scroll down to the RSVPs section and click "Show Report" to view the breakdown of responses.

  5. Click on any of the hyperlinked responses to see the contacts who RSVP'd with that answer.
Note: Contacts are able to change their response up until the event, so you'll want to check the RSVP report periodically to ensure you have an up-to-date list of who will be attending.

  6. (Optional) Click the drop-down and select a different answer to view the contacts who chose that response.

Now you can add these contacts to a specific list for further engagement, or click "Export all as CSV" to save the report to your computer and print out a roster for the day of the event.

Follow up with those who responded

Seeing your RSVP results is great, but taking action with those results is even better! In a few steps, you can add respondents to a list and send them a confirmation, additional event details, or follow-up information after the event is over.

  1. When viewing the respondents for a specific answer, check the box in the top left to select all.
  2. Click “Add to list.”

Select contacts and Add to list link

  3. Select the list you want to add the contacts to, or click “Create a new list.”
  4. Click Add.

Once you’ve added your different respondents to a list, here are some ideas for how to communicate with them:

  • Create a list of the "yes" responders to check attendance, if necessary. If someone brings a friend, ask them to join your email list!
  • Send the "yes" responders a reminder email 1 or 2 weeks before your event.
  • Send the “yes” and “maybe” responders an email with more information about the event, including if there will be any special activities, food, entertainment, speakers, parking, etc.
  • Send the "maybe" responders an email asking them if they can make it after all. Is space filling up? Let them know!
  • Have a list of the "no" responders ready for the next time you're organizing an event. Maybe offer them an incentive to attend since they couldn't come last time.

Try to engage non-responders

If there are contacts who never responded to your RSVP, it's a good idea to reach out to them again. They may have simply missed your email or might not have been inspired to open by your subject line. When you schedule your email, there's an option to automatically resend your email to non-openers after a specified period of time. Don't worry if you didn't select it! There's still a way to resend the email after the original was sent.
