Resend an email using QuickSend

Article: 000039494
Updated: March 21, 2025

Use QuickSend to resend an email to an individual contact or to several contacts of your choosing across multiple lists that weren't a part of the list you originally sent to

Light Bulb IconDid you know? There are a couple of different ways that you can resend an email to new contacts and to those who didn't open your original email. Before using QuickSend, make sure it's the right solution for you!

Imagine a customer tells you they never received your latest email, or you’ve just added some new contacts eager for your newsletter. With QuickSend, you can easily pick one person—or even up to 5,000 people from across different lists—and resend an email you sent within the last year.

Use QuickSend

Exclamation Point IconImportant: If you need to send to more than 5,000 contacts, if you need to edit the email's content before sending, or if your email includes customized content, it's better to add your contacts to a new list, copy the email, and then send it to the new list. Customized content, such as contact details and custom fields, a greeting tag, a personalized subject line, or dynamic content blocks, appear blank or display default content when sent through QuickSend.

To use QuickSend, you need to know the sent email's internal campaign name. You can find it by clicking Marketing channels > Email in the left-hand menu and then filtering your emails by the "Sent" option, or by using the Search campaigns field to look for keywords.

  1. In the left-hand menu, click Contacts > All contacts.
Note: You can access QuickSend through the Contacts or Reporting dashboards, but only the Contacts dashboard lets you access all of your eligible contacts. The Reporting tab only shows the contacts you've already sent the email to.
  2. Search for the contacts you want to resend your email to. If you want to send to multiple contacts, use the search criteria that helps you capture the most contacts at one time, for example using an email address might make the most sense for an individual contact, but "City" or "Company" might return more relevant contacts in bulk.
Note: If you can't capture all of the contacts in one search, perform the QuickSend and then repeat the process for each search criteria you need to cover.
  3. Select the contact or contacts by checking the box next to their email address. You can select up to 5,000 contacts per search. If you select contacts on one page of search results and click to the next page, the contacts stay selected.

  4. Click Actions > QuickSend email.

  5. Select the email you want to resend. Only emails sent during the last year are available options. If you don't see the email you want to send, check the pages at the bottom right-hand corner of the overlay to view more email options. Use Ctrl+F (PC) or Command+F (Mac) to highlight a keyword in the internal email name. If it still isn't available, check its send date to ensure it was sent within the last year.
Note: Event-related emails or emails that were only sent through a test send and weren't actually sent to your contacts can't be resent using Quicksend.
  6. Click Continue.

  7. Click Send Now to confirm the action. It can take a few minutes for the email to send, depending on how many contacts you are sending to.

Understand how QuickSend affects your reporting

Emails resent using QuickSend are temporarily placed in the "Scheduled" status. You can find it by clicking Marketing channels > Email in the left-hand menu and then filtering your emails by the "Sending" option, and then once it sends, by the "Sent" option. Once sent, the original email reporting is updated to include any new data (sends, opens, clicks, bounces, and unsubscribes) that result from using QuickSend—there is no reporting available that separates out the QuickSend data. Reporting for the original email is available on the Email Details page, and the Reporting tab.
