Sync contacts between your WooCommerce store and Constant Contact

Connect WooCommerce to your Constant Contact account and sync your contacts automatically



If you use the WooCommerce Plugin within Wordpress, you can connect your store to Constant Contact and sync your contacts automatically. Customers are synced into pre-defined segmented lists, helping you to target the right offers to the right customers and drive more sales. Take advantage of a Product action block to promote goods in your emails, automated abandoned cart reminders, and more!

 


Connect your WooCommerce store

  1. In Constant Contact, click Integrations.
  2. Search or scroll to find WooCommerce, then click on the block.


     
  3. You'll be brought to the Constant Contact + WooCommerce Plugin page. Click Download and save the file if prompted.

  4. Log in to your WordPress account.

  5. From the Dashboard menu on the left side, click Plugins > Add New.

  6. Click Upload Plugin.

  7. Click Choose File or Browse.

  8. Navigate to your Downloads folder, select the "constant-contact-woocommerce.2.0.2.zip" file, and then click Open.

  9. Click Install Now.

  10. Click Activate Plugin.

  11. From the Dashboard menu on the left side, click WooCommerce > Constant Contact.

  12. Click Let's Start.

  13. Select if you want to import your current WooCommerce contacts:
  • Yes - All existing customers will be imported into Constant Contact.
  • No - WooCommerce customers will be imported into Constant Contact going forward.
  1. Select if you want the marketing opt-in checkbox checked by default for customers during checkout:
  • Yes - The checkbox to receive marketing emails will be automatically checked for new customers at checkout.
  • No - New customers will need to manually check the box in order to receive marketing emails.
  1. Choose if you want the marketing opt-in checkbox to display for customers after checkout or before.

  2. Scroll down to the Store Information section and fill in the following fields:
    Note: Currency and Country Code are prefilled based on your General settings in WordPress.
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Phone Number
  • Store Name
  • Contact E-mail Address
  1. Click Save and Connect account.

  2. Read the Constant Contact WooCommerce Integration Merchant Agreement. If you agree, check the box to verify that you have permission to send email to all contacts imported from WooCommerce.
  3. Click on the Click here to log in link.

  4. Click Approve.

  5. Click Constant Contact Dashboard.

  6. From your WooCommerce dashboard in Constant Contact, click Lists to see the segmented contact lists that were created. Click on the list name to see all the contacts that make up the list. Contact lists are synced daily.

Boost your marketing with the WooCommerce integration

Once your WooCommerce store is synced, there are several ways to utilize the integration throughout your Constant Contact account.

Add a product block to your email

The products and services in your WooCommerce store can easily be inserted into your emails through a dedicated Product action block, so that you can get them in front of the right contacts.

 

Create a customized contact segment

When you connect your WooCommerce account to Constant Contact, your WooCommerce contacts are placed into segmented lists, based on their activity, and are synced on a daily basis. However, if  there's a specific segment of contacts you'd like to create in order to send specific, targeted messaging, ou can do so by creating a custom segment of contacts.

 

Send automated communications

There are several automated communications that you can send to your WooCommerce customers, including:

 

Review sales reporting
