Save a draft or sent email as template

Add a draft or sent email to the Saved tab in the template picker to reuse the content when you create a new email


If you spent time designing a great email template and want to use it for future emails, you can easily save it as a template—it can be an email you previously sent or one that you saved as a draft. The next time you create a new email, simply select it from the “Saved" tab in the template picker. 

 


Save an email as a template

Any email draft or email that you previously sent can be saved to the template picker for future use:

  1. Click Marketing channels > Email.
  2. (Optional) Use the Status and Sort by filters to help narrow your search.
  3. Next to the draft or sent email you want to save as a reusable template, click .  .  . > Save as template

  4. Give your template a unique name that you can easily identify again later. A template name can have up to 80 characters.
  5. Click the Save button.

Use a saved template

Whenever you create a new email, you have the option to select your saved template from the "Saved" tab. You can save as many emails as you need to:

  1. From the template picker, click the Saved tab.
  2. Place your cursor over the template thumbnail image, or tap the thumbnail if you're on a touchscreen device, and click or tap the Select button.

Your template opens in the email editor and you can make changes to the content, branding, and layout before you send it to your contacts..

 

Rename a saved template

If you want to rename any of your saved templates, you can do so from the "Saved" tab in the template picker. The new name must be unique and have 80 characters or less:

  1. From the template picker, click the Saved tab.
  2. Below the template thumbnail image, click . . . > Rename.

  3. Enter a new name for the template.
  4. Click Save.

Delete a saved template

When it's time to clean up old content, you can delete any of your saved templates from the "Saved" tab in the template picker:

  1. From the template picker, click the Saved tab.
  2. Below the template thumbnail image, click . . .Delete.

  3. Click Delete to confirm.

You can’t undo this action, but you can save the email as a template again if you wish.
